Longhorn Riparian Buffer Restoration Site

Randolph County, North Carolina

Cape Fear River Basin (Randleman Lake Watershed)

The 20.82-acre project was constructed in 2020 with 7,500 bare root seedlings planted, delivering 367,000 riparian buffer credits to the North Carolina Division of Mitigation Services (NCDMS) within the project and is currently in year-four monitoring.

Clearwater Mitigation worked with the land owners to provide access to all portions of the property outside of the easement and provided new cattle fencing, a new water well, and cattle drinkers.
