Neuse River Basin (HUC 03020201)

A 76 acre, of which 65.3 acres included some form of wetland re-establishment, enhancement, or preservation with the remaining 5.9-acres of uplands and non-credit area to be included within the overall conservation easement as an upland buffer.

Clearwater Mitigation identified the site; worked with multiple land owners to close on conservation easement; conducted groundwater monitoring; coordinated all legal and survey items; helped develop and coordinate contracts with Dominion Energy and our legal team; and developed a mitigation plan along with the design team, which was approved by the USACE to deliver wetland credits for Dominion Energy’s transmission line.

The Lowlands Site is currently an approved wetland mitigation bank in the Neuse River basin.
